Hi Friends!

Welcome to my site.  This idea was born of a desire to foster connection and community through authenticity, respect and education with some humor, chaos and whimsy mixed in.  This site is full of things that bring me joy -  various shades of purple, nature pictures, helpful resources and words written from the heart.  By sharing stories with you, my hope is that you feel seen and validated.  Maybe you can relate to some of my experiences, maybe you can't.  Perhaps parts of my story will help you understand others better.  My goal is to make people feel less alone and add a little sparkle to the world.

Mr. Rogers told us to look for the helpers.  I hope to be a helper for those in need.

This is Me, Unedited.  Thanks for stopping by.

My name is Andi.

Welcome to my story.  We all have a collection of memories, experiences, feelings, and people we encounter throughout our lifetimes.  Each of us has a unique story.  No one else will ever live the same life as us, and that's pretty magical.  Heck, the number of ancestors we have who had to be born, survive, and then create life for us to exist is mind boggling.  We are made up of stardust. Our mere existence is a miracle in this vast universe we inhabit.

Lately I've tried to stop and appreciate things in the moment, whether it's something big and exciting or something as simple as the sound of birds chirping. I also give thanks for the people who've been part of my life's journey. Some people are part of my story for a short time, others a lifetime.  Each one leaves an impact. I fully believe that when I pass on, I will get to relive my favorite memories and see all the people I've encountered along the way. That thought brings me immense comfort and joy.

In my professional life I've worked in IT and Special Education.  I've worked a myriad of other jobs throughout my life, including as a balloon decor artist, a teaching assistant at a residential facility for teenage girls, a PiYo instructor, and food service in my college's cafeteria, to name a few. I also spent years working at my family's produce store.

I've lived in New England my whole life, in a mix of suburbs, cities, and now a farm town. Each has their own type of charm. I love the convenience of a city but relish the quiet nature setting of a farm town.

As I've gotten older I've gotten much more comfortable with who I am.  I'm proud of the person I've become and I love myself.  I stopped trying to fit in a long time ago, and that has provided me with the most beautiful life.

I am a homeschooling mom of 4.  Yes, I have a lot of kids (they were all planned).  No, we aren't religious homeschoolers. We are eclectic, secular homeschoolers ( we DO exist).

I am riding the perimenopause train.  Yes, women's health is ABSOLUTELY under funded and under discussed.   Let's change that together.

I love nature.  Flowers, water, sunsets, stars, and trees, these are a few of my favorite things.

Purple is my favorite color (in case you couldn't tell).

I love glitter and books and deep conversations with people.

I treasure honesty and authenticity.

I believe in the golden rule.  Treat others how you want to be treated, not because you are trying to get something, but because it's the right thing to do.

I believe empathy is a superpower and the key to healing the world.

Fun Facts About Me

I love to hula hoop. I've even performed a few times. Shout out to the Hoop Troupe!

I love puzzles.  Jigsaw puzzles, word puzzles, tetris style puzzles, I love them all.

Reading has always been one of my greatest joys.

I'm a mutant. At least, that's how I explain it to kids. I have a connective tissue disorder called Stickler Syndrome that has caused me lifelong eye problems including blindness in one eye.

I believe in the afterlife and I believe our loved ones are all around us, communicating through signs and sometimes psychic mediums.

I'm a proud (though recently out) member of the LGBTQ+ community.
